Update regarding ESB assessments for ESOL Skills for Life and Speech Qualifications

Providing accuracy with MurrayData

ESB paired with MurrayData in 2014 to benefit from its specialist Optical Mark Reader (OMR) scanning service to administer the large-scale exam bookings from two major international clients: Europalso and ESBinItaly.

Managing Director, Ken Rafferty founded the company in 2009. Since then, MurrayData has embraced technological advancement, working on projects in the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Ghana and Nigeria, as well as ESB.

The specially designed OMR scanners are used to record results in ESB’s ESOL International Listening, Reading and Use of English assessments, which are widely entered by candidates in schools and language centres across Italy and Greece. The data capture software allows ESB to assess examinations in-house, and ensures accurate recording of results, even for ESB’s largest cohorts of assessments.

Tina Renshaw, ESB’s Chief Executive says,

Using MurrayData’s advanced OMR software, we can continue to provide an outstanding and consistent service to our two key international clients.

MurrayData also provides ESB’s Customer Experience Team with ongoing training and support, and has formed a close and valuable relationship with the awarding body over the years.

Says Ken,

Being at the leading edge of OMR exam marking and reporting, we were an ideal match for ESB to assist in processing their exams. Speed and accuracy of data capture are fundamental principles that both ESB and MurrayData share. We look forward to helping ESB provide accurate results and report integrity in the future.
