{"id":8989,"date":"2021-01-28T13:12:27","date_gmt":"2021-01-28T13:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esbuk.org\/web\/?p=8989"},"modified":"2021-01-28T13:12:27","modified_gmt":"2021-01-28T13:12:27","slug":"esb-thrilled-to-support-initiative-to-increase-diversity-of-voices-in-childrens-literature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esbuk.org\/index.php\/esb-thrilled-to-support-initiative-to-increase-diversity-of-voices-in-childrens-literature\/","title":{"rendered":"ESB thrilled to support initiative to increase diversity of voices in children\u2019s literature"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ESB is delighted to hear the announcement made by BookTrust that a free copy of an anthology of children\u2019s books by black British authors is to be provided to every primary school in England together with free curriculum resources from August onwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collection of stories, Happy Here, is a collaboration between Book Trust, publisher Knights Of and the charity Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) and is aimed at children aged seven and older.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESB\u2019s Chief Executive, Tina Renshaw says, &#8220;What a fantastic gift to primary schools!
