Are you an experienced English/Drama teacher or Primary English lead who could bring an innovative flair to our organisation, in relation to Spoken English and Oracy? Does your teaching practice in state schools bring the knowledge and experience to create resources to support our schools and their learners to excel? English Speaking Board (International) (ESB) as an awarding body has a world-class reputation for producing high-calibre Speech and English language qualifications in the UK and internationally. We are recruiting a Senior Product Developer for our Product Development team who will work across our Speech and Language qualifications, having a specific responsibility for our Speech portfolio of qualifications. The design and development of our qualifications is a key facet to our success, helping us attract and retain schools, colleges and third sector organisations to the ESB family. We have a suite of more than 70 speech and language qualifications, which includes 51 Speech qualifications. As a charitable organisation, we are passionate about closing the disadvantage gap and supporting all learners in developing their confidence in speaking and listening.

The role:

    Under the leadership and direction of the Product Development Manager; develop, manage and review ESB’s educational products and services
    Provide specialist guidance for the Speech portfolio of assessments and resources (Graded Examinations in Speech, Debating, Group Speaking, SEND Oracy suite)
    Co-ordinate the production of qualifications and assessments in line with regulatory and contractual obligations
    Research and report on the educational landscape in relation to ESB’s products and services, providing advice and guidance that support the strategic goals of ESB International

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with team members and key stakeholders. They will be highly driven and have the ability to work to deadlines within a customer-focused environment, but most importantly, we are looking for an individual who will care as much about our learners achieving their potential, as we do.

The post is offered as a permanent, full-time (5 days a week) role, subject to a 6 months’ probationary period. It is based at ESB’s offices in Hattersley Court, Burscough Road, Ormskirk, Lancashire, L39 2AY (flexible working available) and offers a salary of £29,750 - £35,900 (depending on experience). We also offer an attractive pension scheme.
