The Christabel Burniston Fund
Established in honour of our founder, the Christabel Burniston Fund provides support to centres which might not otherwise be able to access its assessments.
At ESB we are committed to ensuring our qualifications are accessible to every learner, and we are always looking to identify new ways of helping our centres get the most out of our qualifications.
The Fund can help your learners in any of the following ways:
- Supporting disadvantaged learners in centres with identified needs
- Discounting ESB fees
- Subsidising training for teachers to support ESB assessments
If you think your learners could benefit from our qualifications, but you are concerned about fees, please get in touch with us, we’d love to help in any way we can.
The Christabel Burniston Fund has been instrumental in opening up a whole world of opportunities for the young speakers at Plymouth Grove Primary School. The funding has enabled our children to realise that their voices are important, valuable instruments and essentially the key to their future in our increasingly noisy world.
Oracy is now at the forefront of everything we do at Plymouth Grove and ESB has enabled the children to act, perform, present, read aloud and listen with passion and spirit. All children have been immersed in spoken language and our dialogic classrooms have been enriched and supported by Christabel’s legacy.
